For easy access to DNA activation and results, download our free AncestryDNA app from iTunes or Google.
Activating your DNA test means connecting your kit to your Ancestry account. If you don't have an Ancestry account, you can create one for free.
Each adult who takes the test must activate it on their own Ancestry account. With the exception of tests for minor children, only one DNA test may be activated on one account.
We can't begin processing a DNA sample until the test has been activated. To activate a test for your minor child or invite another adult to activate their test, see our article about activating a test for someone else..
2. Cancelling an Account (more)

View your membership type in the Subscriptions
The Ends On date is the date your subscription
will either automatically renew or (if you've
canceled it) end.
If you've canceled your subscription, it will say
so at the bottom of the Subscriptions section.
After canceling your subscription, you'll still have access to community resources like free record collections and family trees you've created. If you don't receive a cancellation email within 30 minutes of canceling your subscription, click your name or username and select Your Account. Make sure the page says your subscription is cancelled.
